Legendary navigator and weather forecaster, Bruce Hedrick, shares his thinking about how the forecast will impact the racing on Puget Sound this weekend

The Corinthian Yacht Club of Seattle, after hosting the J/24 World Championships last year, is hosting the 2025 US National Championship for mixed gender crews with no more than 2 males over 18 years old.

Today was a day when sailboat racing was very fun to watch. The sunshine helped, plenty of wind was nice, the mountains looked spring spectacular, but the neck and neck competition between super skilled sailors stole the show.

Fifteen J/70s enjoy a beautiful day of racing on Puget Sound with Dalton and Lindsey Bergan on ‘Mossy’ establishing a good lead after five races. Also, in the nine boat J/105 fleet, Jeffrey Pace and is crew on ‘Lift Off’ scored second in every race to prove that consistency is the key to winning sailboat regattas.

At YachtRacing.tv we want to make sailboat races easier to follow. We are doing this first by sending daily emails so interested followers don't have to search around to find out what happened each day.

There are now 15 J/70s registered for the event including some of our reigning world title holders along with highly capable, but yet undecorated rising stars.

A dramatic rescue of sailors overboard during the Possession Point Race will ensure that the 2025 Center Sound Series will be remembered for a while.

Registrations are open for the Pacific Northwest One Design Regatta (“POD”) to be hosted by the Seattle Corinthian Yacht Club on the waters of Shilshole Bay on March 29^th and 30^th. 

We are building YachtRacing.tv to include awareness of each sailor on each boat during each event. These complete crew lists will enable anyone following a series of events to see the sailor v sailor action clearly.
